About Me

I’m a middle-aged (sigh) mom of three who is working to find my identity as a mom and as a woman. I’ve also struggled with depression for a long time and was officially diagnosed a few years ago. That has led to lots of soul searching and even more self-awareness and learning. Some days, I’m up for it; other days, not so much. But I keep plugging away and try to keep a sense of humor about it all…

    • Thanks! I’d be happy to write. I just found your blog yesterday so my blog roll might be listed by most recently added. 🙂 I can see that there is a lot of good info on your site but I haven’t had a chance to read it yet!

      • Terrific! May theme is getting physical, focusing on how mental disorders affect our physical bodies. I’ve got an eating disorder post lined up, one on yoga and I will write about running. So, if you’ve got something to fit in there, great. I would like to focus on work in June. I’ll have an interview with a personal coach but that’s about all I’ve got lined up at this point. Work/kid balance would be a good topic, if you’re up for that.

BUT, you can write about whatever you’d like.

        • I’m not sure how I would fit in with those specific topics, but I’ll give it some thought. What is the goal of these posts? To share experiences about depression/anxiety (in my case) with those who struggle with similar issues?

          • You can write whatever you choose. No restrictions. I just wanted to give you a sense of how CGP works. Yes, we are definitely sharing experiences with mental disorders and other neurodiversities to provide support, information and inspiration to other parents. Again, what every you want to write is wonderful.
